I don’t even know where to start. Every city that Lisa and I have visited has bored us after 2-3 days… Milan, Prague… even Stockholm… but Istanbul, wow. We spent 4 days there and we could have spent a week there and there would have still have been things to see. It’s such a different city, but since it’s cosmopolitan it’s not as much of a culture shock as I was expecting.
Our weather was less than desirable while we were there; it was cloudy, overcast and rained every day. We had a few hours of sun on Sunday and Monday, but that was pretty much it. Even the weather didn’t affect the way we felt about the city. There was so much to see; Ayasofya, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazaar, the ancient ruins… and so much to do; trip to Asia, Taksim square nightlight and shopping… we definitely didn’t have enough time at all
